What goes into the brick cladding price
The tile
Series, size and thickness. Handmade tiles are thicker and made by hand, so they use more clay and labour than pressed tiles.
The quantity
Larger orders are quoted at better slab rates. Ordering everything at once also keeps the shade even.
Freight
Tiles travel by road from Ambala district. Distance, a full truck or a part load, and access at the site all affect the delivery cost.
Fixing materials
Tile adhesive, spacers, grout and, outdoors, a water repellent. These are bought separately, usually by the contractor.
Labour
Paid to your tiler or contractor, often per square foot. Slim tiles and walls with many cuts take longer.
Wastage
Plan 5 to 10 percent extra tiles for cuts and breakage. It costs less than a second delivery.

Saving
Ways to keep brick cladding cost down
- Clad the parts people see: a tower, the ground floor, the gate pillars. Plaster the rest.
- Use the 9×3 size on large walls. Fewer pieces per square foot means less labour.
- Set out the courses so whole tiles land at edges and openings. Fewer cuts, less waste.
- Order the full quantity once. Part loads and repeat deliveries cost more per tile.
- Have the wall prepared properly before tiling. Repairs after a failure cost far more.

Why don’t you publish a brick cladding rate?
The price per sq ft changes with the tile, the order size and the freight to your site. A published figure would either be out of date or wrong for your order, so we quote each enquiry.
Is brick cladding cheaper than building with face bricks?
For an existing wall, usually yes, because you are not building new masonry or a foundation for it. For a new building, compare both options with your architect.
How much extra should I order for wastage?
Add 5 percent for a plain wall and up to 10 percent for walls with many windows, corners or cuts. Keep a few spare tiles from the same batch for future repairs.
